Decipherment of the Oldest Script in the World

The civilisation of the Indus Valley (3300-1300 BC) is considered one of the three earliest civilisations in world history, along with Mesopotamia and Egypt. They flourished in the western part of the Indian subcontinent along the river Indus and another (now extinct) river called Sarasvati. The Indus civilisation is best exemplified by its miniature seals, of which thousands were discovered during the excavations of various sites in India and Pakistan.
This book is an account of amateur epigrapher Farrukh Naqvi’s 6 years of dedicated, successful research work that resulted in the decipherment of the Indus script that had until then defied all attempts to decipher for the last 100 years. He has been successful in solving one of history’s greatest mysteries: how to read the Indus script and, by extension, unlock the secrets of this ancient civilisation.
